initial thoughts of him being way too little - after all - Mya went when she turned 2.. and my little boy had only just turned 14 months. Looking around there were not too many childcare centres that took under 2's. We finally decided on a brand new centre not far from our place, about 5 min drive - now that I got my licence - whoo hoo!
After an orientation session a few weeks ago - which resulted in a nice present in the form of a high grade fever and rashes - we decided that he is ready to go back this week.
So how was it? like a military operation, Daddy dropped both kids off at their respective CCs and went to work. Mummy went to work early before the kids woke so that she cud leave early to pick the kids up with Uncle Gene.
I walked into the centre apprehensive. not sure how J would have gone, but i found him quietly playing in the outside area with his carer Natalie. I called for him and he turned around and the moment he recognised me, it was priceless. He dropped the toy and scurried across furiously and gave me a big cuddle. Natalie had said that Jasper was beautifully behaved and didn't cry when Daddy left.! Slept for 2.5 hours and ate all his meals, ! finsihed 2 bottles of water too! I was so proud! He was quite chuffed that Uncle Gene and Big Sis Mya picked him up. Mya was super impressed with the place and started to play with the kids there. Compared to her centre, this was like the beverly hills ! well it was apparent in the daily cost too!
So today's the end of day 2, and so far so good. He is much more social and interactive than Mya was at the same age. All good, we just loose a few more hours of sleep and more to worry too.
We are so proud of you little man!
